Wellbeing and Mindfulness

We recognise that at the heart of every learner is a unique individual and that confidence, emotional health and wellbeing are vital to academic success, and this is the foundation that must be built upon. In all tutoring sessions, we are mindful of this, teaching students strategies for managing anxiety, confidence building activities and helping them to engage in an approach that grows much more than just their academic potential.

As well as our weekly tailored tutoring sessions, we also offer workshops that specifically focus on mindset coaching, confidence building and managing emotions. Please get in touch if you would like more information about this.

All staff at QI Tuition have undergone mental health first aid training and are well equipped and educated in understanding and supporting mental health.

Upcoming projects

‘Everyone on Board’

We have a fully equipped activity bus with lounge area, board game area, slide, wall climbing, craft area, screens and gaming. The bus will be used as a space for children and families to spend time together, learn new skills and take part in a range of wellbeing activities. This is part of our action to support whole households.

Community

Our Social Aims

One of our aims is to reduce social inequality and we aim to provide tuition that is inclusive to all families whatever their financial position. Our model for achieving this through funding and reinvesting back into our social aims. We aim to provide 1 free session for every 10 fee paying.

Another one of our aims is to provide a model that supports whole households. We know the impact that mental health, low income, academic pressure, and various other factors can have on children and families. Therefore, we offer help using a blended model of tuition, wellbeing activities and family support and advice to improve outcomes. We work with local charity My GiftBox Community Projects (Reg.Charity No.1152845) to deliver these aims.
